The 15 Hottest Housing Markets in March

More home shoppers are on the hunt in New Hampshire this spring. Manchester, N.H., and neighboring Concord, N.H., topped realtor.com®’s monthly list as hottest housing markets in March. Both cities are about an hour outside of Boston. New Hampshire also offers beaches and ski areas that are within easy driving distance.

Buyers are continuing to show trends of searching for housing affordability outside of major city hubs. Many of these outer areas topped realtor.com’s top-performing market list for March.

Each month, realtor.com®’s research team ranks the hottest U.S. real estate markets based on the metros where homes are selling the fastest and the markets that have the highest listing views at its site.

Realtor.com® ranked the following markets as the top performers in March:

1. Manchester, N.H.

  • Median listing price: $420,000

2. Concord, N.H.

  • Median listing price: $362,000

3. Vallejo, Calif.

  • Median listing price: $550,000

4. Burlington, N.C.

  • Median listing price: $302,000

5. Springfield, Ohio

  • Median listing price: $145,000

6. Lafayette, Ind.

  • Median listing price: $297,000

7. Yuba City, Calif.

  • Median listing price: $427,000

8. Santa Cruz, Calif.

  • Median listing price: $1.22 million

9. Stockton, Calif.

  • Median listing price: $468,000

10. Spokane, Wash.

  • Median listing price: $435,000

11. Janesville, Wis.

  • Median listing price: $250,000

12. Modesto, Calif.

  • Median listing price: $499,000

13. Reno, Nev.

  • Median listing price: $562,000

14. Worcester, Mass.
